One down, seven to go. Sheared the oldest boy, Sorte, this morning. A nice, light breeze, still cool from overnight. Late for shearing, but this is the Northwest, and the foothills, so they don't ever get too hot wearing their coat too long; but if I shear too late they might feel the damp winter more. Thus, I always leave more fiber on them if I shear late. But today I am most proud that I remembered the toenail clippers, and started there first, instead of saving it for the end, when both me and the paca are too tired. Happy toes, happy pacas.
